I know the message you're talking about now. My friend got it and opened it on MSN and now it sends the link to all her friends all the time. It's better than the other one she had - that one also sent porn.

I got an email a bit like that (not exactly the same) and the next day my computer wouldn't start. I didn't blame the message though - the link took too long to load so I never viewed it. I always thought it was cos I turned my computer off using the on/off button instead of 'shut down'. Probably is still that.

You wouldn't have needed to view anything, just click the link. Once you click it downlads the "crap" in the background without you knowing anything about it

I appreciate the update. I'm always checking people's links and posting links on my FB. Though for the record, if it's a link from me, it'll be a song, most commonly a Techno/Trance/House music song with both the name of the song and the artist. Nothing like "Amazing Video" or anything of that nature.

I got this e-mail from "facebook" about a new password.... but my old one still works...

And the new password is apparently in a zip folder... like I'm gonna download and extract that on my home computer lol...... I'll check it out on the work computer and if it breaks I'll be like "I dunno what happened...."

If you don't know what it is, don't open it. Ever. If your friend asks,"Did you see that video I sent you?" You can tell them to describe it better next time. No harm, no foul. If you do open silly stuff without knowing what it is, bad things will happen.

Today I got one e-mail of one friend of mine, giving me a VIP envite for something... that was only said what it is on the .doc that comes with the e-mail. Obviously the .doc wasn´t a .doc, but a .exe that appeared as .doc. Well, this was what my dad said today, I still didn´t enter my e-mail account today.

Also two friends of mine start sending me something like "Esta foto es tuya?" and a .jpg file. It is surely virus because my friends would say it in portuguese, not spanish lol

I went onto a website the other day. I'd been on this website before loads of times and it was safe. Then I went on it again to check it, because people were saying their virus checkers wouldn't let them on to it. Stupid me downloaded a Trojan even though I only clicked the link to open the webpage. It was in a stupid disguise, as if I'd ever believe I'd installed a virus checker on my new computer. But it killed it. Worst thing was that the website owner knew nothing about it. She hadn't been on her site for ages cos it was an info site, not a game site.

So you're friends are telling you that it has a virus. Indirectly, but they did tell you.
And you go there anyway? Did I understand that correctly?

Someone asked me if it worked for me. I didn't think about it.

Can't talk more - someone's got a fireworks party across the road so I'm watching from my window.
