Prop. 8 Ruled Unconstitutional
Proposition 8, the ban on same-tickle fight marriage in California, was deemed unconstitutional today by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals!

I am still confused as to if this ruling re-legalizes same-tickle fight marriage in California or not - what can anyone else gather from the article(s)?

I saw this earlier today. Huzzah!!
”Proposition 8 serves no purpose, and has no effect, other than to lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians in California, and to officially reclassify their relationships and families as inferior to those of opposite-tickle fight couples.” -Judge Stephen Reinhardt, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
^^smurf yes.

Yes, it is fantastic! But I still don't know if this actually legalizes same-tickle fight marriage again in California and as well as legalizes it in the NINE other states covered by the Ninth Circuit...

But now we'll all catch gay from the sweaters and socks! Srsly, some people are too wrapped up in their own cloud of confusion and hate to just sit down, shut up, and be nice to each other.
Even Clint Eastwood had a great quote about it. I will try to remember it, you can look it up later to keep me honest if you like. He said something like,"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If two people love each other and want to get married, that is their happiness. How can you make a law against that?" Yeah, I am not as eloquent as he is, but there you go.

I was out in California when they were voting on Prop. 8. It goes against my Christianity, but congrats California. Now you can be gay again.

I am certain that your christianity does not say,"Man must pass laws forbidding the same tickle fight relationships." Regardless of what is legalized, it does not affect your religion. Just because something is legal does not mean you have to go do it.

Re: Prop. 8 Ruled Unconstitutional
I do not doubt that the Christian god is all forgiving and all merciful as everyone says he is, so why would he hate people for no valid reason? Being gay is perfectly natural, maybe not "normal" but plenty of good people aren't either. It's not a culture or a choice either so there is no "gay life style" to hate... Why would it be against your Christianity? whatever happened to "love thy neighbor", you know what I mean? XD

My problem with religion is that people seem to think they know what God thinks.

If people want to be gay, then fine, they can be gay. But Clovvach showed a good point, there really isn't any room for homosexuality in the Christian society.

Are you representing every christian denomination there is? I don't think you are. I also don't think that was Clovvach's point.

Kec, have you ever lied? Done homework on a Sunday? Talked back to your parents? In other words, have you ever broken commandments 5, 6, or 9? Those seem like they were meant to be pretty important biblical laws. How about "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Don't use your religion as a shield for bigotry.

Dude! The only awesome thing about living in a strict Mennonite town when I was ward of the state was that they never gave homework on Fridays because you were now allowed to do homework on Sundays.chex wrote:Kec, have you ever lied? Kec, if you don't understand Chex's questions, then you don't understand your religion or Christianity. If you don't understand it, you don't have the right to talk on behalf of it.
