Ninja and I set the fastest lap times possible on the time trials available in Sonic and Knuckles.

Anyone who has been in the forum for a while knows why many of us roll our eyes at the mention of Sonic.

I've been on for a few years, but, you know... If I was around for when the 'why' happened, then I don't remember :/
- But I do assume that it was from something on the old board (I searched Sonic, and the very first time the search says it was mentioned on this board was chex saying "You cringe at the mention of Sonic" in 'You might be a NELG Forums addict if...')

Regular Sonic is not even half as cool as Hyper Sonic (Or Honick) - the K is for killer speeds.

Honick is an alternate dimension version of Sonic that is so fast he can rip holes through time and reality and alternate dimensions.

The game had a very poor reception because he was too fast to control and made for near impossible gameplay.

First Megachu, now Honick. You think of the strangest things :? . But there is a Hyper Sonic (& Super Tails & Hyper Knuckles.) I just don't know where it was though.

No one called me a fanboy here. I'm surprised lol.

Anyway not a fan of 2D Sonic. Adventure 1 and 2 are the best. Ever since then the games have been mediocre to average until the disaster which was Sonic 06. Unleashed looked cool but had broken gameplay and as Clarence said, he's too fast to control. Colors looks stupid. So I skipped it. Same thing for Sonic 4 but it looks far worse than stupid. I skipped again. Generations looks cool and fun but I'm not willing to spend money on a 4 hour game.

There. Logical, unbiased statements. I hope that proofs I'm not a fanboy anymore and a regular gamer. :)

I grew up with Sega / Sonic. I love most of the franchise. I don't throw it in everyone's faces though.

I actually really love Sonic. My favorites are the Sonic Adventures and I have them both for my Dreamcast. I keep waiting for the day that will never happen where Sega suddenly comes out of nowhere with a new console. But until then, I'll continue to enjoy my Sonic games, including Generations.
