I think this is quite amusing, the russian president wants to stop his people to drink that much vodka... curious how it will turn out.

This will be interesting. Remember prohibition here in the USA? I think they need less extreme regulation, mixed with strong positive role models. It will not stop the problem, but it will slow it down.
