Re: Merry Christmas 2009!
Well the night shift had our little Christmas party. We ordered God Father's pizza and did a gift exchange. We didn't put any names on it and just drew numbers to see who got to pick a gift first. We then revealed them backwards numbers 10 to 1. We had a $5 limit. I ended up getting the perfect gift for myself. I got some fancy new gel pens which I've been meaning to get. I also got some really cute stationary and sticky notes, as well as this really cute roll of Christmas wrapping paper. So now I don't have to buy my own, w00t!
Due to the awful weather and the poor state of my Mustang, I was unable to get to the store to buy anything. At first I wasn't going to participate, butI decided to create a card last minute (less than an hour before the meeting) and include $5. ((Pictures Below))
Our supervisor also gave us each three additional gifts. We received a nice little goodie bag with candy, hot cocoa, a Christmas ornament, and a candy cane. The second gift (we have a team of all girls) was this really nice scented lotion. I haven't actually taken the tissue paper off of mine to tell what the scent actually is yet. She wrapped them really nice with another ornament so none of us wanted to ruin the wrapping. BUT it smells like a cinnamon cider of some sort. The third gift was a homemade ornament. She's really good with sewing and stuff. She took this canvas cloth and sewed two squares together with some stuffing inside so it was not just a flat cloth. On the front she made little mittens with decorations, each one different for everyone on the team. There were colored ribbons, beads, and all sorts of really nift designs. All of these were picked out of the box randomly without knowing what they actually looked like. Once again I got the perfect one. It was red, black, and white (my favorite colors) and had the design of a snowman with really cute beads.
It was really fun to see what everyone got. =]

Thanks! I actually really like how it came out for having to come up with something on the spot in 45 minutes.

Re: Merry Christmas 2009!
Actually it was my supervisor that got it. She's big into arts and crafts and loves my work as well. She's always putting me in charge of decorating the night shift's wall so she was probably the perfect candidate for it. She loved it so much she tried to give the $5 back. She said the card itself was worth way more than the money and she's going to keep it forever.

Re: Merry Christmas 2009!
Just finished my Christmas shopping. Yay for amazon. Rather than buying three different gifts and spending a fortune, I decided to buy Lindsey, Lisa, and Sean a house gift and got them a microwave. They've been wanting one forever and are always complaining about having to warm left overs in the oven and taking too long or forgetting about it when they're under the influence.

It looks like it could well be a white Christmas for us this year. I can't even remember the last one .

Yeah, we still have two feet of snow and it's supposed to snow again sometime soon. It's not going anywhere.

Re: Merry Christmas 2009!
I threw a snowball at my dad and got into the car so he couldn't hit me with one. He then got into the car as well (we were going shopping) and threw the snowball at me inside the car. Pity it was my mum's car. And her coat.
