NELG 2: A Post-Mortem

I will probably never work on NELG 2 again.

But let’s start from the beginning.

NELG was one of the only few games that really stuck, among others that I’ve played for years, and might create a YouTube channel/ stream about, like Geometry Dash. However, unlike Geometry Dash, NELG has a finite amount of content. Only 300 levels.

So once I finished the game, I wanted more. This was before Level Killer was out, so there was no fan games. I decided to make my own. A few people tried the test levels, and then it just... stopped.

After the first 15 levels, I grew bored, and once Level Killer came out, I stopped working on it, and played Level Killer.

I rarely play Level Killer anymore, either. If I had no computer problems I would probably play it way more often.

The NELG passion is almost gone now, and Level Killer might be deleted due to the Flash deletion, so I don’t know if I can play it once my computer is fixed.

I hoped you enjoyed NELG 2, but it has come to an end.

Don't feel bad. This is all part of the evolution of technology and the human psyche.

You let your passion guide you, and this is noble. Well done!

Yup, and I’m not leaving the forum (kinda obvious)

It’s a logical next step because a few NELG Forum members play Geometry Dash too, so we made a discord server, that has been active for over three months.

And if I ever start making videos/streams, I’ll link them :)

It's the end :(
Maybe Never Ending Level Game X will continue?

In the creation of TEDNE, after some levels I grew bored too.
I think you can overcome it
