on hold?

I have a question about being put on hold. If one calls a company and they are being put on hold, what are the exact words the computervoice is telling them? Preferably telling them how long the queue is.

I want to know because I keep getting calls from "Microsoft" and I want to know how long it will take for them to hang up on me if they keep hearing the same sentence from a Rick Ashtley song.

To be continued.

(And please tell me if I misspelled a word)

You are smart and funny, turning the tables on them! :) Typically, when a spam call comes in, if the human does not get a response from you within just a few seconds, they disconnect. Anyway, to answer your question, here are a few variations:

"Your call is important to us. Please continue to hold."

"Your call will be connected in the order it was received. Thank you for holding."

"Due to high call volumes, a long hold time is expected. Thank you for your patience."
