I have a question about being put on hold. If one calls a company and they are being put on hold, what are the exact words the computervoice is telling them? Preferably telling them how long the queue is.
I want to know because I keep getting calls from "Microsoft" and I want to know how long it will take for them to hang up on me if they keep hearing the same sentence from a Rick Ashtley song.
To be continued.
(And please tell me if I misspelled a word)
on hold?

Re: on hold?
You are smart and funny, turning the tables on them! Typically, when a spam call comes in, if the human does not get a response from you within just a few seconds, they disconnect. Anyway, to answer your question, here are a few variations:
"Your call is important to us. Please continue to hold."
"Your call will be connected in the order it was received. Thank you for holding."
"Due to high call volumes, a long hold time is expected. Thank you for your patience."
"Your call is important to us. Please continue to hold."
"Your call will be connected in the order it was received. Thank you for holding."
"Due to high call volumes, a long hold time is expected. Thank you for your patience."
"Work hard, be humble and stay positive."
