Daylight savings time!
Let's all talk about how horrible this is and that most of us will be losing an hour sleep tomorrow

Re: Daylight savings time!
I'll be losing an hour of awake, which I find to be worse, I can function of little sleep, and have trouble falling asleep if I haven't been awake long enough

Re: Daylight savings time!
Back in the 50s, Drive In Theater owners actually lobbied congress to do away with this nonsense. It is light later? Great! Now I can't show movies!
There is really no purpose for daylight saving in a modern society such as ours. All business is done electronically, and stores are open seven days a week and at all hours.
I hate it.

There are reasons for and against it, but personally I really like it (though admittedly it's annoying getting up earlier for a while). I love having longer evenings. Like if it was getting light at 4am, I'm just gonna sleep at that time. I feel programmed to be awake when the sun is up I think.

Re: Daylight savings time!
I don't care about evenings, I like to see daylight when I walk to work at 6 am
Now it's just starting to rise by the time I get to work ... tomorrow will be pitch black
I do feel more energized and willing to start my day if I wake up to it being light out.
I do 10 hour shifts (have for a while) and since I work 7 am - 5:30, during the winter time I never see the sun on my walk to or fro work

Sorry, that was implied in my previous statement. Farmer Joe can milke the cows, shear the sheep, and still get to the feed store and the bank.Clarence wrote:But farmers
Daylight saving is pointless.

Re: Daylight savings time!
I'm wrecked.
Why does one hour kick my bottom so much?
It's dark as hell out and depressing, yesterday the sun was just starting to peek it's head over the horizon as I made it to work ... not pitch black all the way

And yeah, Daylight saving time is febreeze, smurf farmers.
The proof is out there that people can't handle the change, car accidents to heart attacks and everything.
This is costing us much more than loss of sleep!

Did anyone else read sizz's link? Regardless of which side of the debate you're on, it's not pointless and the farmers (generally speaking) are against it.

Re: Daylight savings time!
Well it seems to say changing to be brighter at night is better ... so why not just keep it and not revert back in the winter?
Or come up with a system where we're on a synchronized global clock that just adjusts things on a daily basis by a minute or so it doesn't really effect people.

Re: Daylight savings time!
My guess would be that the hour of daylight in the morning duringthe winter months is better for kids walking to school, but come summer, it's better to have it in the evening.
As for a global clock... I don't see all the countries being able to work it out.

I lost an hour of gaming time. Jerks.
Went to bed at 3:30 AM (aka 2:30 AM).

I hate it. I don't see the point and it gets me so very confused. I have one clock that I don't change so I don't have to hurt my head trying to figure out wetter it's earlier or later.
