New Years Resolutions

Anyone have any new years resolutions?

Last year I tried to do 100 sit ups a day... and I pretty much succeeded in that.

This year I want to seriously give up pop.

I'm not going to try to quit cold turkey, because that will just set me up to fail, but I want to drink as little as possible.

What are your guys New Years resolutions?

We should all try to support each other in keeping our resolutions in check.

I make about 100 resolutions a day. I only end up keeping maybe 1 or 2 of them, but that is not bad! Maybe I should try for something more lofty. I'll think about this.

I always hated to make resolutions, but this is the first time that I am intending to make and keep them.
I want to loose weight. I desperatly need to loose weight for health reasons.
And I want to stop me procrastinational behaviour. I made that resolution two weeks ago, and up until now I'm doing well with it.

Okay, I am actually going to make a resolution this year.

I resolve to be more tidy. To not put off cleaning things to the point that it requires a shovel and a flamethrower. To do some daily cleaning and scrubbing.

Yup, that is it for me.

Does resolution means like .. decision ? If so how can youmake'em decisions? You can't just 'take' a dec' and stuck to it can you?

You take the decision yourself and you are the one to realize it. Decide something and stick to it.

At least keep up the good will to try. If you don't reach your aim in the end you can still say that you tried. Better than not deciding anything.

I do know. I am terrible at sticking to it when I make a decision. But that is why I am making some small ones to stick to. If I can do that, then the big decisions will be easier.

This will help you keep your resolutions.

I have a few. I wanna be able to do the splits and kick the top of the doorway. I want to shoot a 3 inch group at 25 yards from modified weaver stance. I want to regain my fluency in French. I want to get out of debt. I want to travel more.

There are more, and as you can see, some of these things are rather vague. The common theme is that I want to change my mindset a little. To be more productive. This is a fundamental change, but when I see the positive results of the little things that I am sure to accomplish, it will help me to stay on track with the bigger, more essential goal.
