Without Free Knowledge
For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia.

Alright. Last post for the time being and then I've really gotta head to bed. It is waaaaaaaay past my bedtime. Check out this blog post from Stumble. They have some great videos, articles, and websites all about SOPA/PIPA and the fight against it.

Re: Stop SOPA/PIPA
Something else to think about.... SOPA is so idiotic and unconstitutional that there is no way it will pass. However, in the aftermath and uproar, I fear they will sneak something under the radar that has similar evil intent, and nobody will notice because everyone is all excited about SOPA. Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel.

Re: Stop SOPA/PIPA
There's an EU one as well apparently. My friend was trying to explain it this morning. Apparently they'll monitor private emails though. Isn't there a law AGAINST that already?

There's no way that could be legal. Do you know where it currently stands?

No, I hadn't even heard of it until yesterday. I'm hoping that she's got herself muddled.
