NELG sadness

I miss NELG.
Especially when I type in “NELG forever” and see pictures of the levels I once enjoyed, but powered through.
Even with my NELG, no matter how many levels I make it will never live up to the original because of the program limitations of the coding website.
And even if somehow I did make something as good as the original, I wouldn’t’t have the joy of PLAYING it, even though I made it.
I just wish I didn’t rush some of the levels, and didn’t ask for help on others, or maybe I could get brainwashed to forget the answers, idk lol

Good idea
I have been learning HTML the last few days, maybe I could make that work
I would need some JS as well, but I’ll work on it

Honestly the programming I used to make NELG in flash wasn't overly complex - not too in depth at all really, I just forced a lot of simple things into levels to make it look more complex than they are
I also made an HTML version that predates this game but think I lost it now

Okay, what I do is don't play it for a while. Delete any old password files. Play something else.
You have Steam? You should get Volgarr. But anyway, after a while, come back and do it from the start.

Every time I visit this forum it reminds me of NELG... I haven't played in a while, but it will be hard to forget.
Clarence, may I ask which program you used to create NELG? (There are many programs/website that make flash games.)

Big nevermind on that- I need a serial code or some paid crap. Trial is 30 days. I may ask for one for christmas,

Do you know any tips for coding in Flash? I'm completely lost.

Start off slow and learn how to make buttons and how they work
I haven't done this stuff in over a decade so I don't have it fresh in my head
There's plenty of youtube vids and tutorials on it

Got it, buttons wil be enough for the first few levels - they are just buttons anyway
I got locked out of my Scratch account so flash it is..

I found out how to make a button! How I have to figure out how to make it transition to a different level.

It's tricky - you are going into all of this cold but I started in Flash by doing animations
You have to know about frames / keyframes and have buttons go to the frame the level is on

working on it
Question- do you know if the flash shutdown of 220 will affect development?

I don't know what flash shutdown of 220 is
I haven't used this program in a decade as I said so I have not kept up on anything

And just because I used flash doesn't mean you have to btw
There are probably much better programs out these these days for these kind of things

i meant 2020
Adobe is supposedly discontinuing Flash at the end of the year 2020. If it actually dies I will find another program.
I think I found ho to make it g to a new keyframe and stop.... but I need level numbers, pw box, passing the level if you type something, etc. Very advanced.
