Me and my sister were mucking around with GIMP the other day. It's not a virusy program and it's pretty good, although better with photos, or pre-made pics (I think).

I've always used GIMP for all my graphics - after paint (mainly avatars for online games ) and never really got on very well with PS. I suppose it depends on what you get used to

PS does take time to get used to. It took me five years before I felt comfortable using it. The main reason is that there are so many tools and possibilities that a user has to get to know. Nowadays I don't want to be without it.

It actually took me a couple days to get use to photoshop
I have the same basic things I need to draw, and if I dcan locate those within any new program, then I'm set!
